The Music . . .

Is everything in the Fat Angie series and absolutely takes the spotlight in Fat Angie: Homecoming

There are original songs by Angie and her band #GoFeral along with music by new character Lucas Waite.

The characters, emotions and tension were inspired by the #SpotifyPlaylist that showcases 42 songs, largely by female artists.

I wonder what songs readers would write instead of the ones featured in the book. What songs off the Spotify playlist resonate most with them?

Special shout out to Trust Bucket, Dave Markey, formerly of Mad Anthony and Dave Bartlett for their confirmation and insight into building bands and writing music.

Enjoy and live loud!

The Music . . .

Fat Angie: Rebel Girl Revolution, second book in the series, was the official entry to the power of music. Every chapter heading is named after a song.

The book at its core was what Angie called, "heart and ache." The passion and the obstacles. The love and the loss.

Angie finds herself spiraling in heartbreak, grief,  and sparring with her couldn't-be-bothered mother. But it's also a story about what begins to happen on the other side of the hard. The unexpected allies, the adventures we don't plan and what it really means to feel YOU ARE POWERFUL!

The road to self-discovery isn't easy, but ultimately, it's the best road to be on!
